Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc has announced that they will be constructing two solar projects for SunEdison. The Newboro 1 and New Boro IV projects will each consist of 10 megawatts and are scheduled to be completed in 2014. Both projects are located in Ontario and will provide employment for more than 250 skilled workers in the area.
This is not the first time that Renewable Energy Systems is constructing projects for SunEdison. In fact, the company have constructed three other projects in the past totaling 50 megawatts. They will preside as the contractor for Engineering, Procurement and Construction for New Boro I and New Boro IV.
The electricity generated from both facilities will provide power for an estimated 4000 homes. The Ontario Power Company has also entered into a power purchase agreement lasting 20 years to purchase the electricity generated from Newboro I and Newboro IV.
